Grab a cupcake. Motionbuzz is eight years old. I started Motionbuzz as a “side business” during the summer of 2000 while working as an art director for a dot-com startup. I was 24. Nine months later (the day after I closed on my first home), my employer went belly up and laid off everyone. I was shocked, but the layoff was a blessing in disguise. The next morning, Motionbuzz became my full-time pursuit.
Many things have changed in eight years—professionally and personally. Professionally, I’ve learned so much and met so many talented people. The Internet is more integrated into business and entertainment than ever before. And on the personal side, I started out as a young bachelor, and along the way, I married my college sweetheart, Sonja, and we now have two amazing kids. There’s never a dull moment!
I’d like to thank all of our clients and colleagues during the past eight years. You make it possible. I’m looking forward to many more years of growth, creativity, excitement, and success. Keep on buzzing!
